About the Author
Sakina Hasan Askari (nee Sakina Nurul Hasan Jafri)
completed her M.A. (English) with honours from Osmania
University, Hyderabad, India. She then obtained M.A. in
English Literature from the University of Leeds, U.K. She
taught for many years within the U.K. school system and is
a prolific author. Raising her children and grandchildren in
the West, she had felt a need for books for children to
learn about Islam.
